Sapling's Gemma Cot Bed is a cot that easily converts into a toddler bed giving it many years of good use. The cot ships for free to you in Ireland.

The Gemma Cot Bed also has the option to place the mattress base in a choice of three positions. The upper position is used with the newborn baby, the middle is used once baby can move around, the lower position will be required to keep baby safe once they can pull themselves to their feet - to prevent baby from climbing up and tumbling from the cot.

The solid end panels of the Gemma Cot Bed are recommended if you are planning to sleep baby at the foot of the bed in the ‘Feet to Foot’ position. This means that your baby's feet touch the end of the cot. This will prevent your baby from wriggling under the bedclothes and risk overheating. It is considered the safest positions for babies to sleep.

A great value cot bed, the Gemma can be used up until about 5 or 6 years old when converted to a toddler bed.

Optional Mattress

The Gemma Cot Bed requires a 140 x 69cm mattress. We have 3 different options of mattresses available.

The Foam Mattress is made with a superior grade foam, giving excellent comfortable support for your baby. It has an easy clean cover and is fully air permeable and reversible.

The Sprung Mattress is a luxurious fully sprung mattress that has been designed to provide healthy, properly supported sleep. It has all the same features as the Foam Mattress but the core of the mattress is made of a high-quality mini-bonnell spring unit.

The Cool Flow Sprung Mattress is our high-quality sprung mattress providing superior support and long term durability. It also has a removable cover for easy washing. The mattress is breathable and allows baby's body heat to dissipate throughout to assist baby's temperature control. A topper pad is added to the mattress for extra comfort.
