The Alex Cot Bed is very well made from solid pine and 'tongued and grooved' end panels. It's a very popular choice because it's nice looking, great quality, and great value. The cot bed ships anywhere in Ireland for free.

The Alex Cot Bed easily converts into a toddler bed giving it many years of good use. It is available in a nice Pine finish.

It also has the option to place the mattress base in a choice of three positions. The upper position is used with the newborn baby, the middle is used once baby can move around, the lower position will be required to keep baby safe once they can pull themselves to their feet - to prevent baby from climbing up and tumbling from the cot.

As your child grows, it's simple to change the cot into a junior bed. The cot is dismantled with the allen key provided the lower section of the foot end is removed the mattress base is placed in the lowest position and the screws are tightened again. The mattress remains in use as does the familiar bedding, helping the child adapt to the new sleeping environment.

A great value cot bed, the Alex can be used up until about 6 years old when converted to a toddler bed.

The cot comes flat packed and is easy to assemble. The manufacturer boasts it takes only 20 minutes, but don't hold us to it as we haven't tested that out yet.

Optional Mattress

The Alex Cot requires a 140 x 69cm mattress. We have 3 different options of mattresses available.

The Foam Mattress is made with a superior grade foam, giving excellent comfortable support for your baby. It has an easy clean cover and is fully air permeable and reversible.

The Sprung Mattress is a luxurious fully sprung mattress that has been designed to provide healthy, properly supported sleep. It has all the same features as the Foam Mattress but the core of the mattress is made of a high-quality mini-bonnell spring unit.

The Cool Flow Sprung Mattress is our high-quality sprung mattress providing superior support and long term durability. It also has a removable cover for easy washing. The mattress is breathable and allows baby's body heat to dissipate throughout to assist baby's temperature control. A topper pad is added to the mattress for extra comfort.
